Does US GDP per capita calculations account for undocumented immigrants? (I presume they don't since it's impossible to count people who entered illegally but I just want to be sure)

Has anyone attempt to calculate the true US GDP per capita if undocumented immigrants were included?

If someone translates and reprints an article without the authorization and attribution of the original author, does the forum allow this?
I ask this because I might do this.

Not really defense related but just want a sounding board.

I'm currently looking to get a new car.
A speeding motorcyclist (you know the type) hit and wrecked our car last saturday. Fortunately none in my family is injured but the car looks like a write-off.

I want to get members opinion whether they think it pays to go for electric vehicle or stick to petrol ones, as I intend to drive it for at least the next 10 years.

Bear in mind I live in NZ, so being smaller in market size and remote location it may catch on to trends later than others, also with less variety of selections available.

What do you guys think? Are electric vehicle really starting to catch on now that Chinese makers are in the game that it's worthwhile to really start thinking it's suitability as the next replacement vehicle for daily use? Infrastructure wise I feel NZ is still not there and also a lot of factors depends on national policies and Nz will tend to side with western bunch rather than China policy wise.

I don't intend to take long trips with the car. Just stuff like commute to work or grocery shopping. Likely do not need to charge it anywhere but at home.

It probably all depends on how much your electric/petrol cost. I personally would more likely go for a hybrid if i was going to get something new and it being my only car. I might consider getting a tesla3 if the used prices drop low enough and they are found to be dependable as a secondary car.

To any members here that live in the US… how many times do you experience internet outages in your area in a year? Right now I’m experiencing one that’s been almost a month now. This is the second one this year that lasted about that time. I’ve used up my data on my phone and have to resort to using other means of getting on the internet. I was wondering if this is normal? I’ve talk to my neighbor who has Comcast and I’m on AT&T two different systems and we both are dissatisfied. AT&T keep raising their prices and you get lesser service it seems every time on all what they offer and I’m on a bundle plan. Also their customer service sucks. Every time there’s an outage I call to get credit and they play dumb saying there was no outage in my area. You have to push them and they fake searching further to find there was a “problem” and then offer a credit. I want to dump them all together.

Rare. Occasional outage at midnight for a couple hours when they have to do some upgrade patch to the system. Most annoying awake time outage has been from storm power outages. It is best to switch between 2 carriers every couple years to get the best pricing.

Thanks. A week ago we got a 2016 Prius in pretty good condition for about 15,500 NZD (8.4k USD), including 600 for rego and road fitness check . :)

Thanks, also, has anyone on the forum systematically talked about the PLA Navy's naval ship naming regulations and the ship's pennant numbers?
I just finished translating an introduction, its a detailed summary of the new version of the naval ship naming regulations and the reform and adjustment of the pennant numbers since 2021. Where can I publish it? It's a long article.

Basically never in NYC, but we do get power outages a few times every year during summer. Internet is obviously down during that time.
