Does anyone have any context to this image? On Monday this incident was circulating amongst the usual anti china groups. Comparing some bus accident to a war of annihilation waged against Chinese people is a grave insult

Was the 13th Dalai Lama pro China?

We know that Tibetan Independence was a lie created by the UK when in reality it was a British, "Colony" aka as independent as Bhutan ever will.

I am going to Chongqing in October, and I am going to get a China SIM card. My question is

1) Should I buy a China SIM card online before travelling? The down side is that these SIM cards do not have China phone numbers and may affect online booking of many things like rail tickets, online meal orders and ehailing of taxi etc.

2) If I buy a domestic SIM card at China Unicom after entering China, what kind of SIM cards do they have? example, is there 14 days validity period card?

Thanks in sdvance.

Back in 2019 I got a few sim cards from China Mobile in China during our trip there. They are pay-as-you-go types. Remember to bring your passport.
Not sure about online bookings.

Do you have a Chinese ID card? Do you have someone in China who can help you?

No Chinese ID. The only way to get a China phone number is to get a SIM card after entering China. SIM cards bought outside China basically do not have phone number and they are data only, no voice calls.

I understand that phone numbers are required in some instances like making online booking for tickets and meals. Therefore having a tourist SIM card with phone number will help a lot, but if I have to wait in que for up to 4 hours in one of the telcom service centers to get a SIM card process done...

I have not been in China since 2019, things changed a lot......

Forum members from Toronto, how much has your Enbridge Gas bills increased by? Last winter it was $180 CAD, and I'm staring at a $170 CAD bill for this summer. Last summer it was $40 CAD. How the fuck is this possible?
