anyone know where some newspapers get their info on the PLA from? A few weeks ago I read an article in the Asia Times that said the USN had 10000 VLS and the PLAN had only 1000. I mean the 8 055 destroyers add up to 900 by themselves. where did they get this info from. Stuff like this makes my blood boil.

this is the article. It got the 1000 number from a US government report, which in turn got it from an online blog post. if this is how uninformed the West is with the PLA they are gonna be in for a very rude surprise should war break out.

The author has penned 3-4 fairly low quality articles in the last few years, I wouldn't put too much stock into them.

Does anyone have that (2020ish?) video of wojak of video crying (interlaced with China scenes) throughout the video but smiles in the end cause the west keeps on losing but China is winning. Some along the lines of the future is east and has a funky BGM that has some "running out of time" in its lyrics?

That's the one. I downloaded a copy this time, dunno how I missed it in Carl Zha's youtube channel. We need the original creator or someone else to create an updated version of this video after the BRI summit.
