American Economics Thread

The American so-called political leaders need a primer in "How the Economy Works" from one of their most successful learned people, Ray Dalio. Perhaps they'd learn a thing or two about the basic fundamentals of the economy.

And maybe an additional lesson on geopolitics to better understand the world especially it's economic relationship with China to avoid the needless unproductive trolling that's damaging to the vast majority of Americans.

Murikkkan political leaders don't need economic lessons from Ray-Chinese-communist-agent-Dalio... Listening to commie Ray is the last thing murikkkans should do, all bases are covered, so $33b more should go to Ukraine.

And don't let distractors distract...economy is stronger than ever, foreclosures are just streamlining, cutting waste, a sign of health and recovery...

"...Berkshire Hathaway Inc's BNSF Railway...
Landus buys grain from 7,000 farmers across Iowa and described turning away farmer loads of corn and soybeans as country grain storage elevators waited 20 days for rail carriers to pick up loaded grain cars, up from a week and a half.
...
But shippers blame cost-saving measures at the railways before the pandemic, including labor force cuts, storing locomotives to save fuel and stretching train length to as long as 3 miles (4.8 km), which they say have increased congestion, downtime and delays.

BNSF, the largest agricultural rail shipper in the nation, reduced its train, yard and engine workforce by 20% in the year prior to the pandemic, furloughing another fifth of its workers in May 2020, according to the STB."

Sounds like another Enron in the making. When people pointed out to Warren Buffet that it was pointless for him to invest in railways, since there was no profit to be made in it, he just dismissed it as a sector with a lot of future. And now you get this little stunt. Rail has been researched for over a century. Industry practices are quite well established. The idea you can just "optimize" train composition because you know better leads to crap like this. Pure sabotage.

Something gotta give. As that expression goes.

It is a very basic situation here.

The oppressor class is saying, "Time to pay."

The renters, living pay cheque to pay cheque, looks at the current rent and exclaims, "WTF!!!"

Something gotta give.

I don't know.

I don't think anything has changed here brother. That is how it is in Toronto. People in Toronto think if it did not happened here, then it did not happen, like that nothing happened. It may have happened somewhere in the Great White North, but like, who cares.

It is like Toronto is the coast, and everywhere else is the flyover country, to use an American analogy.

The trucker thing is like someone else's problem.

Not even sure what that trucker thing is all about. Sound likes a bunch of snowflakes decided to drive a truck up someone's ass, and the snowflake prime minister had some sort of meltdown.

That is Trudeau's problem. He is not good at being serious.

He is good at taking his shirt off.

But when the crap hits the fan, Trudeau wilts, he is an intellectual lightweight and a political nobody, who is living off his father's name.

Harper was a good prime minister. But he acted like a bitch, so no one likes him either.

Here is a picture of Trudeau with his shirt off.

I am sure pictures like this helped him get elected.

The man has no choice tbh since the party oppositions here led by the Conservatives are quite insane. Then he has to contend with his own ignorance and stupidity regarding society, regional politics, economy stacked up by your typical virtue signaling pronouncements (calling for Haitian refugees to come to Canada from America which caused problems in Quebec) only to cause the predictable problems it inevitably created. I can tell you as much, Justin Trudeau ain't like his father that is for sure. He's an inexperienced spoiled brat that managed to eek by the Canadian politics with mediocre educational background, scant experience, and only managed to succeed due to his family name, good looks, and the legacy of the Liberal Party of Canada.
