Absolutely true but can you see the USA do something similar considering how quickly the USA cancelled that north south pipeline in regards to oil and gas from Canada. South North Water Project will address a host of issues, among them further increasing that great northern green belt - sandstorms in Beijing would become fewer annually; but don't expect 'murikkkan idiots to understand this or apply some of the wisdom to their country, they can't think beyond the next election cycle, or if cashflow analysis doesn't add up, its's a vanity project, never mind the endless externalities and benefits.
Meanwhile, their infrastructure is at Ukrainian levels... LOL.
