What's up with the deck of the Dokdo is it undergoing a refurb or something?

the rotor diameter of a blackhawk is 53 feet the new KUH-1 Surion has a larger diameter of 62 feet. so if they can move a unfolded chopper through those lifts then they have the size. but as Rutim points out not the hanger.I'm looking at the elevator doors of the Dokdo. Do you think that a F-35B can fit through that ? The dimension of the F-35B is 15,7m x 10,7m or 51.3 ft x 35 ft. So far neither South Korea or japan have placed any orders for the F-35B. They only ordered about 40 F-35A each.
Your guess is as good as any. My guess they are concentrating there resources on the CV 16 program. carriers and LHD/LHA share common architectures. And with the PLAN working hard on testing the ship with regular cruises and interment flight ops. It seems possible that the PLAN is cycling the hull through rampant and repeated inspection and repair as they learn the ins and outsAnd we also have to ask the question where is China's 30000 + ton LHD ? I believe that China is capable of building such a ship. But we haven't heard anything about it yet.
