A Sino-US alliance, is that feasible?

Right!
Historicly, China avoided allying herself too closely with anyone, to keep freedom of maneuver on the international scene. Alliances shift all the time- look no further than the last century!

US is allied with China against terror and in buisness. US is not allied with China in terms of weapons procurement and Taiwan problem.

US is allied with just about every country against terror- even with Syria & Iran when it comes to Al-Qaeda! Trade is not a good indication of being allied- the Nazi Germany used Ford trucks during their Blitzgreig!

However, it's far from being a military alliance, wich probably is the main point in this thread (as I see it).
The US probably has some form of agreement or understanding with many countries regarding anti-terror ops, but still I wouldn't call that being allied. That term implies a much stronger tie between those involved.

spelling: Blitzkrieg :)

Good points, & thanks for spelling correction!
China will not ally herself militarily, even if the US asks for it. They may participate in joint exercises and piece-keeping missions, but as rising superpower the PRC will want the freedom of action, just like France during the Cold War.

Yep, I would even consider the US-French relationship to have been closer back then, than US-Sino is now. France wanted some kind of independence, while China wants to establish an antipole.
The fungous term of a strategic partnership might emerge some time, but that doesn't have to mean much at all.

Yes, not now or in the foreseeable future. But during the cold war, 70s, 80s, there was definitely some kind of military Sino-US alliance. China's 'punishment' of Vietnam for its Cambodia invasion had the blessing of US.

I don't agree with you, the cold war has past, and even in it, China used to co-operate with USA to deal with Russia. Chinese don't hate USA, not like hate Japanese, so everything is possible, it's all about interests. Can't you see that China and USA are tight together so closely now? we are alliance to some extent

China hated US Id say from Korean war to the end of Vietnam. Things began to improve after that. Today, I would say Taiwan is the only major roadblock between a good US and China relationship. Things have improved dramatically. China and America has even gone as far as having a excercise together. This is very good for improving relationships.
