I started the conversation in the first place not to talk about whether US or China's enemies will fire Zircon/Similar cruise missiles at China or not, but to bring out the fact that a scramjet powered cruise missile similar to Zircon is a very important technology to have and China currently does not have this technology.

People brought YJ-21 as something China has as an alternative to Hypersonic cruise missiles. But We have discussed how Cruise missiles have different advantages and thus a Ballistic missile is not an alternative to a cruise missile. The best approach is to have both.

So, hopefully Chinese will develop a Scramjet powered cruise missile in the near future. Its a gap that they should fulfill.
What's the point of a scramjet? Its only advantage is that it doesn't need to carry its own oxidizer but that's effectively cancelled out by the fact that its intakes are going to drastically increase the air resistance. Its engines are also way more expensive, and complex compared with a normal rocket engine. It might be slightly better than hypersonic glide vehicles but it's probably an order of magnitude more expensive.

I have searched threads for "music" and I didn't find a more fitting thread than this, one so I'm going to ask it here

Is there any rumor and whispers for new military music/song for the parade? A few year ago we got "March of Steel Torrent" and "March of Sweeping East Wind." I am curious if there is going to be any new music/song for this parade.

Latest consensus among the Guancha Trio as well as Orca is that disclosures from the 9/3 parade will drive Western military fans insane Call of Cthulhu style… What else will be showcased that we haven’t seen so far?
I'm hoping for a Chinese counterpart to Darkstar... but that might just be me.

Unlikely to occur, but a flyover by a single supersonic capable H-20 could have that kind of effect on certain audiences.

Hypersonic missiles sound scary, but the typical TWZ reader can't meaningfully differentiate between a DF-17, DF-26, DF-27, DF-100 and whatever HACM that may grace Tiananmen Square on September 3rd.

However, a large supersonic (V)LO bomber — with no Western analogue — might "do the trick," in particular as fighters and bombers tend to be topics that Western audiences are more interested in and familiar with.

Not counting on such a scenario to occur, especially as how best to interpret their consensus could depend on how highly or lowly these Chinese commentators think of "Western military fans."
