Overall I agree with you, but this wrong: "many old J-11/J-10A have already switched to WS-10." None so far switched.

We haven't seen yet any operational J-11/-11A or J-10A with a WS-10 and AFAIK the final batches of J-10AS were directly built with them.
J-11B/J-11BG have WS-10 engines.

i don't remember exactly where, but i have seen some J-10AS with WS-10 engines.

maybe i m wrong here. so sorry for that

No need to apologise and maybe I mis-read your post, since you wrote "many old J-11/J-10A" I read it as "many old J-11A/J-10A"

In fact the J-11BG is special ... the final Batch of J-11B (Batch 07) was built directly as J-11BS but indeed, a few Batch 01 J-11B were reengined!

So this is likely gonna to be the most important and consequential Zhuhai air show in history. Probably why China seems to be pulling out all the toys for this year. They will be getting so much new orders if they play their cards right.

1) The last 2 shows were hampered by covid
2) Russia is currently occupied and their reputation has taken a beating, more so then 2022. This year is best chance for China to grab customers away from Russia, especially since I and a lot of people think that the war might be over by 2026.
3) The international situation is tense, Ukraine/Russia, Israel and all their conflicts in the middle east and finally Trump. People will likely be buying lots and lots of equipment in a world wracked by war and uncertainly on a level not seen in decades. Even Europe might be interested in a select few products in the face of uncertainly of another 4 years of the Trump administration and an emboldened Russia.
4) The Ukraine war has shown that drones and anti-drone hardware are the biggest revolution in ground combat in the 21st century. And again due to the Ukraine war, everyone knows that China is the gold standard when it comes to drones. Not only are they good quality, but they are cheap and China can easily mass produce them.
5) Being able to buy a 5th gen fighter is a very big deal, especially without the various strings that America usually attaches to it. Very interested to see how many countries put in a offer.

It would be super interesting to see the amount of sales that China gets this year compared to every other Zhuhai airshow. Would also be interesting if there are any European customers of any of the various drone/anti-drone systems as compared to the usual middle eastern and African customers. Would send a pretty big message to the Trump administration and it's just logical to buy Chinese drones/UAV products at this point.

I expect China to be added to the CAATSA list if their arms exports grow significantly. This is the major bottleneck in Russian weapon sales right now, not the war. A lot of countries which want to purchase Russian weapons are either afraid of US economic sanctions or have limited trade with Russia which makes it harder for them to pay the purchases. If anything the war has led to increased weapons sales versus the prior baseline.

China needs to continue to grow its Yuan swaps deals and alternative payment network to break this possible chokehold.

I agree that this is likely the best Zhuhai show in history. With appearances by both Chinese stealth fighters. Three new aircraft. And also the Su-57 guest appearance.

Jumping on the chance of speaking about AL-31 & WS-10...

Are the WS-10 engines compatible with the SU-30SM/MKI airframes ?
Will it require a big overhaul in the airframe that makes it rather non-viable ?
New nacelles and deep structural/international rebuild.

Iirc, neither China nor Russia ever did it in practice. Telling how much it is worth it compared to just building a new aircraft.
