You're free to believe anything you want to believe chief. I'm not ready to deny what my eyes is seeing. You're free to believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Btw, if you believe otherwise then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
That's not a cogent argument Chief. You're essentially telling me to believe your assertion via blind faith. If that's what you're going for then okay dokey.

Nah, it's been Trump for a while now. There are many factors at play here, but Harris was at a major disadvantage from the start for a very simple reason, people's lives are worse now than before. The common people don't care about GDP growth or inflation numbers or whatever, all they know is that things have gotten more expensive than their wages have grown, and good jobs are harder to find now than before. The unpopular overturn of Roe v Wade made this closer than it would've been otherwise, or it wouldn't have been even remotely close in any battleground state.
Roe v Wade never mattered because the only thing people like more than having control over their own bodies is having control over other people, and there are far more people not considering an abortion at any given moment than people who are.

And Obama's election, I would argue, is what led to Trump in the first place. Ask yourself a question: What is the biggest issue concerning Trump voters? Immigration. Why is that? They are scared these immigrants will come in, out breed them until they become the minority and start the destruction of their country. What's the next issue they care about? Abortion. They want to maintain their numbers (majority) so they want to ban abortion altogether or at least make it very difficult to get one.

They have had rallies where racist and despicable things have been said, basically thinking out loud. Trump has run for president (seriously) for the past three elections saying and doing things that would have been political suicide under "normal" circumstances and yet they forgive him and rally behind him harder. Anyone that doesn't look like them is "low IQ" and if they are successful it's because of "DEI" or "wokism". One of them goes live and said she wouldn't vote for an Indian republican because he's not a white Anglo Saxon male, etc. I don't know what else these folks have say or do to show folks who they are and what they really think. But hey, it must be because the economy.
Sure, that's Trump's core supporters, but those are not the ones who decide the election just as the ultraliberals who support the Dems are not the ones who decide the election. The ones who decide the election are the swing voters, who care more about their quality of life than what color or gender is in the White House.

IMo that part America is becoming more overtly racist is a symptom of a decrease in quality of life. I've always said that the problem with liberal democracy is that it's a system for front-runners. It's works fine when they're relatively wealthy and can siphon wealth from the rest of the world to continue its growth as it helps with equitable distribution of the said wealth. However, a liberal democracy under threat simply becomes the majority oppressing the minority. The majority will blame the minority for all the society's ills, and use that as an excuse to unevenly divvy up limited resources to their advantage.

BTW, minorities (specifically blacks and latinos) have higher birth rate than whites, and they're typically as much if not more against abortion than whites due to their heavier religious inclinations.

It does matter because those affected by Roe v Wade have stronger impetus to change their vote based on abortion rights, while those who are not affected will either vote as they always have whether it's in support or against Roe v Wade or simply place their votes based on other issues. Put it another way, those who've always voted based on abortion rights will vote the way they always have, but some of those who voted based on other issues will now vote based on abortion rights, and those people are likely to vote blue.
