Often times the simple and obvious answer is usually the correct answer. America is just too racist to vote for anyone that isn't a white male, Obama was the exception and it took an extra ordinary confluence of events for him to get elected and even after that I would argue that his election spooked a lot of Americans who felt they were "losing their country" that's why they rallied around the supreme protector of white culture, Trump. This is why he can say and do anything and they'll rally around him, preserving America as an Anglo Saxon country takes supreme priority. All these cute theories about economy and standard of living just provides a convenient excuse.Believe what? What's your stance on this race?
You know there were already riots in Seattle tonight. Be prepared for more riots on west coast, midwest, Georgia and east coast this week.
That certainly played a role, but it's not the biggest reason IMO. Don't forget that Obama wasn't just elected, he was re-elected quite comfortably as well, showing the limits of the "white male over all" narrative. Besides being charismatic which Harris certainly isn't, life, specifically the economy, was simply better when Obama was the president.Often times the simple and obvious answer is usually the correct answer. And Obama's election, I would argue, is what led to Trump in the first place. Ask yourself a question: What is the biggest issue concerning Trump voters? Immigration. Why is that? They are scared these immigrants will come in, out breed them until they become the minority and start the destruction of their country. What's the next issue they care about? Abortion. They want to maintain their numbers (majority) so they want to ban abortion altogether or at least make it very difficult to get one. That certainly played a role, but it's not the biggest reason IMO. You're free to believe anything you want to believe chief. I'm not ready to deny what my eyes is seeing. You're free to believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Btw, if you believe otherwise then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.Bollocks:
Black votes for Obama a whopping 93%
Latino votes for Obama another whopper 71% vs 27% Romney. White voters which comprised 72% of the total vote in 2012 went for Romney 59% to Obama's 39% but Obama won the White women voters against Romney so you can't just make a blanket statement that it was simply down to race because that's just stupid.
It make sense that people tend to vote for their own kind meaning white tends to vote white, blacks tend to vote for black candidates etc...but the fact of the matter is that Harris actually lost the key democratic pillars which are the Latino and black voters this time around which ensured her own demise in this election.
She's already handicapped for being burdened to defend her own administration and it's perceived failings and the fact that she's both a woman and a person of colour made it extraordinarily difficult for her to overcome.
But, let's also be honest and frank here. Harris wasn't that much of a presidential candidate herself when she ran for the nomination back in 2020. She got less votes and was polling even lower than Andrew Yang which goes to show that it was going to be an uphill battle for Kamala from the get go.
As for the white male votes voting Dems has always been weak since the days of Nixon and last time I checked, all the Democratic nominees were all White or white passing with respect to Michael Dukakis back in 1988. Walter Mondale got a shellacking in 1984 and he was white. Bill Clinton won the 1992 election due to a combination of bad economic recovery and 3rd party run from the Reform party headed by Ross Perot who accurately predicted the trouble that NAFTA and globalization would result.
I don't know if you're an American or not but such excuse as to why Harris performed badly simply due to her race is just baloney.
