China was actually not expected to win the 1000m short track, nor Eileen's big air

Hwang was the favourite to win the 1000m. No wonder the koreans are pissed lmao. Great day for China, picking up 2 unexpected medals

Tomorrow's 1500m short track will be interesting as well. China and Korea are also the 2 favoured for 1st and 2nd

Man, reddit is full of salty western tears, I'm absolutely loving it

South Koreans are so insanely nationalistic, and racist since they never heard of the concept of a 'multi-ethnic society'. It mostly feels like an pathetic inferiority complex around China. They love to make a mountain out of molehills(i.e Chinese company internationally standardizing Sichuan pao cai is seen by them as 'claiming' kimchi, Squid Game jersey design being 'stolen' when China made the design first)

Pretty much, they get butthurt over everything. Too embarrassed to admit most of their culture came from China.

What’s so unfair? South Koreans are notorious for their bikinis on ice. If I’m not mistaken they slashed up the face of a Chinese competitor (massive blood loss) and got away with it too.
They are bad losers.

Two of their skaters got DQed. One of them was the race favourite I guess. Their third skater was injured in a race by accident and had to quit.

Apparently the family of Korean coach for the Chinese team was also abused in Korean social media. The SK team spokesman also complained about the track.

Not to mention the south Korean media also added fire to the oil by apparently doing this. I'm not sure if this fake news or not. But it's really small time and bitter.

As expected, koreans are known for having no sportsmanship and being butthurt

Eileen Gu has been an incredibly huge win for China. Not only the fact that she just won an event she wasn't really expected to, but the confidence it's given ordinary chinese people, considering the symbolic move of Eileen choosing China over America, and the fact she speaks perfect mandarin. She somehow ticks all the boxes

Truly a once in a century athlete
What other events is she competing in?
