There are American politicians and us (social)media that get their news about China from the Epoch times. Not sure if its an act , ignorance, plain stupidity or purely evil.
Literally everything to the point of being racist. I knew a korean and she would complain about the mainlander with the typical stereotypes of being loud talking, dirty, smelly, north korea, "uyghur genocide", to the air pollution in korea caused by china. Basically you have radio free asia / ned doing their propaganda operations in s korea for 70 years. Like imagine coming to the US and benefiting / being proud/ not acknowledged the genocide of the natives/enslavement of blacks , modern mexicans slavery, + all of the other atrocity(middle east invasion) but then parroting the Uygur genocide story.

Don't worry, I know a close friend who's Canadian of Chinese descent that seems fairly neutral on the whole China thing but does believe somewhat in the whole Uyghur being abused/interned camps...I have been able to peel that nonsense off slowly overtime but the issue is here own siblings whom are convinced of just about every stereotype you can think of China. The problem here is that their concept of China is based on old data and understanding not to mention that all of their information pertaining to the country are based off from anti-China woke media in Canada. I have told them point blank that if war does break out due to the Taiwan issue pressed by the U.S. and the traitors in Taiwan their anti-China rant isn't going to save their bacons from the inevitable anti-China racist rants, and violence that'll surely come our way. So rather than perpetuating the western ignorance and arrogance about China, they should strive to learn and read up on China so not to be the useful gullible idiot for the west.Literally everything to the point of being racist. A lot of them are already prejudice against their own kind anyway due to pure jealousy and brainwashing by the judeo christian control media that perpetuates that Chinese stereotypes.
New generation of Chinese athlete. Impressive. He is a good friend of Eileen Gu since they were little kids. In fact, Su Yiming also acted in a well-known Chinese movie.
The first 3/4 of that was on point. But the last half was typical regime tripe. Talking about her family being threatened etc.
I would add a few things that I think are also relevant. Why in this age of virtue-signalling wokeness should a woman supposedly trying to maximize her earning power attract so much negativity?
Leading to the next question, obviously she is taking advantage of her marketability, but choosing to represent China only marginally increases her earning power. Emma Raducanu, also of partial Chinese heritage quickly got many endorsements without changing her nationality. So it’s obvious that commercialism is not the full motivation.
Finally, as a corollary to the previous point. Some articles suggested her mother encouraged this. It should really put the “Chinese government will trap you” idea to bed. So many stories of Chinese parents sacrificing so much for their children, the favourite western media trope of “escaping communist China to make a better life for the family”, but we are supposed to believe that she would unnecessarily serve up her only child to be fodder? A real joke.
As an aside regarding marketability. The Chinese market (which is a lot bigger than just the country) will put excellence, cultural respect, and beauty/intelligence (in that order IMO, the last is a tie) ahead of nationality. So going back to Raducanu, part of her appeal in China was actually her ability to serviceably speak both Mandarin and Romanian even though knowledge of the latter is functionally irrelevant to the market. However it resonated on a deep cultural level since it was a sign of respect to her grandmother. As a bonus, speaking multiple languages always makes people seem smart.
Bing Dwen Dwen is causing quite a stir.... A Japanese reporter is going nuts over it, while the toys were sold out within an hour at Beijing Winter Games official souvenir store. None are available online (which I hope will change soon).
I dont see anything wrong here, China does have a significant Korean minority, so its only normal that they are represented in the ceremony. Again this is a brazen attempt by Western propaganda media to make a huge stink about something that is a nonissue.
