Do these athletes expect to be treated like royalty?
Probably because they are failing to pick up and catcall Chinese women in the Olympic village.

In Tokyo 2021 they treated white people like royalty. Even when they stepped out of line the Japanese were like hai hai okay sorry desu, sumimasen!!

Whereas in Beijing white people are treated fair and equally like everyone else. Probably white people aren't used to that.

"Why can't I pick up Chinese girls in BJ easily??"

As much as I love to see China win, anyone know the rationale behind Hannah Miller's choice to play for China? She has zero Chinese blood and was on the Canada youth U-18 teams that won 2 world championships in 2013/14, and if you look at her stats in the youth tournament (6 points in 10 games), they were on par with current Canadian women's team stars like Emily Clark and Sarah Nurse. Chris Chelios' son playing for China's men's hockey team I can even understand since Chelios doesn't look to be a Hall of Famer like his dad, but Miller could've played for Team Canada, period.

Could be she has and could still be playing in the China League and she feels more at home in China than anywhere else.
If she has the qualification to be part of Chinese Team and she wants to represent China, then it is her choice and nobody else business. period.

Probably because Team Canada has crap funding?

Women's hockey have no commercial value in Canada, and Canadian athletes are expected to pay for their own training.

The better question is, how did she manage to convince the Chinese team to accept her?

After reading or seen the title of 100s of olympic news article that shows up in my google news feed the past month from "non-state" freedumb media from the west, finally seen at least a balance one. Maybe the only one to mention XJ and not use the word genocide

I am pretty convince now that 95%+ of media in the west is just a government mouth piece
