Yes she is the leading star for sure. Maybe not as dominant yet as peak Sun with a world record but she she swims multiple events, she has multiple medals 2 golds 2 silvers. Bona fide star.

I feel bad for always calling her Chen Yufei instead of the correct Zhang Yufei. So I am gonna big her up now lol.

After watching this, i have high hopes for her. Very good temperament, high EQ, smart, listens to coaching and hard worker. Sun is super talented and has ideal physque but his temperament is suspect and EQ is quite low.

The west hates a dominant chinese swimmer and after his dominance, he was targeted. Unfortunately they got ammunition to take him out. Hopefully Zhang can avoid that.

The last part when she talked about her parents, and started to tear up was so touching. Wish her the best. What a great girl
Her smile is so beautiful and infectious

View attachment 75384another gold with an olympic record❤️
My most anticipated event. 37 year old Lv Xiaojun wins his third Olympic gold, and it was a nail-biter as the Italian Pizzolato put up a last minute challenge. He is really fading as he did 379 in both Rio and London from 77kg. 374 from 81kg is what he managed to eek out despite having his back squate drop from a 305kg full squat to a 270kg half squat with age. So much admiration for him. I was so nervous watching this; my hands were shaking and my palms were sweating. I kinda felt like Simone Biles without her drugs LOL

LXJ isn't any drama king; he's one of the most consistently dominant lifters out there. Tian Tao is the drama queen, making just 2 out of 6 lifts in Rio to earn the silver.
@manqiangrexue bro I watch the same thing happen in 2019 were he had a bad back, no offense bro I'm just saying that he knows how to play for the crowd...lol, he is unbeatable either injured or not. ;)

Oh, that amazing competition is not drama and it's not him playing the crowd. He and his coach truly showcased some expertise in sport science that the world had never seen before. An injured 35 year old weightlifter laying on the ground for 15 minutes with an ice pack on his back takes 1 warm up at 60kg, then hits the world record... twice. As the American commentator said, even if he's not injured, even if he's faking, he shouldn't be able to make those lifts without warm up. That is a rare revelation of Chinese sport science, not drama.

Lv Xiaojun's victory today complete's China's men's sweep in weightlifting golds. That's Li Fabin, Chen Lijun, Shi Zhiyong, Lv Xiaojun. 4 golds for 4 athletes. Amazing; it has never happened to even China before.

@manqiangrexue amen to that bro, I'm one of his fan together with WOCAO!!!! Shi Zhiyong, I'm never been a fan of weightlifting until I saw them lift, both used a squat jerk style that is so different from others.

Are there younger talents since these athletes are getting older?
There was another athlete that lifted 210 kgs, but he threw down the weights before he was told to do so. Therefore the weight didn't count. That could have forced Lyu Xiaojun to lift 210kgs as well.
