?
if not, go to 01:00

am not arguing, just asking
I've now seen it, once, and I find it difficult to judge as I find all video's. But my impressions are derived from what I read about the several video's in several places among which our forum is the more important. I did read somewhere that the amount and character of the material said to have been captured during this incident was considered to be unimpressive and that the claims were seen as bogus.

BRUSSELS, May 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s President-elect Petro Poroshenko has asked President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy to postpone the signing of the economic section of the agreement on Ukraine’s association with the European Union for an indefinite period because of the unstable situation in the country, sources in the Kiev government said on Thursday.

Ukraine crisis: UN sounds alarm on human rights in east

The UN has warned of an "alarming deterioration" in human rights in eastern Ukraine, where separatists are fighting security forces.
It also found "serious problems" of harassment and persecution of ethnic Tatars in Crimea, the mainly ethnic Russian region Moscow annexed in March.
Russia condemned the report, saying it ignored abuses by Ukraine's government.
Meanwhile, a third-party initiative to restore law and order in one troubled city, Mariupol, seems to be succeeding.
Violence between separatists and pro-Ukrainian forces has left dozens dead in the east and south this month.
Separatists control towns in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where they have been skirmishing with units of the Ukrainian security forces, sent in to reassert government control.
The revolt in the east gained momentum after Russia annexed Ukraine's mainly ethnic Russian region of Crimea in March.
Moscow acted after the overthrow of Ukraine's elected pro-Russian President, Viktor Yanukovych, during unrest in the capital Kiev in February, and his replacement with an interim government, backed by Ukrainian nationalists. A new Ukrainian president is due to be elected on 25 May.
In another development, former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt has accused EU officials of risking war with Russia by displaying "megalomania" in Ukraine.
Mr Schmidt, chancellor from 1974 to 1982, told German newspaper Bild: "The danger that the situation gets ever more tense, as it did in August 1914, is growing day by day."

This is interesting when it is happening at the same time as the ferocious fighting in eastern Ukraine where pro-Western forces appear to have the upper hand.

No one's guaranteeing any side has to provide any of the truth. And even all the some-of-the-truths from all sides may not be enough to be used to figure out the whole truth.

The truth is how one sees it. It's not black and white and may not be as straightforward but the details are there for one to put the pieces of puzzle together to get an idea of the bigger picture even if it's incomplete.

Pro-Russian rebels down Ukraine helicopter killing 14

Ukraine's president says 14 troops including a general killed when helicopter was downed

Separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine shot down a military helicopter Thursday, killing 14 troops including an army general, acting President Oleksandr Turchynov has said.

"I just received information that near Slavyansk, the terrorists - using a Russian man-portable air defence system - shot down our helicopter," Turchynov said. "Fourteen of our servicemen died, including General Volodymyr Kulchytskiy."
Slovyansk has become the epicentre of fighting between pro-Russia insurgents and government forces in recent weeks. The city - located 100 miles west of the Russian border - has seen constant clashes and its residential areas have regularly come under mortar shelling from government forces, prompting some residents to flee.

I left out everything on this page extraneous to this incident.

Note that the dead general is head of combat and special training for Ukraine's National Guard. This suggest that the Kiev forces operating in the area are not army but National Guard forces which are clearly very different.
Also note that the death of the 14 soldiers last week is still blamed on the rebels despite the videos of helicopter attacks.

Well that was a "lucky" shot wasn't it? Just happened to have the General in command of the National Guard on board.
Signs perhaps the Russian Intelligence is getting more deeply involved, or a leak from the Regular Armed Forces?

I have seen reports that Russia is opening Criminal Investigations against those involved in the shelling/killing of civilians. This is interesting; not only in its own right, but because it is the opening mechanics for presenting a R2P case. Russia has also today taken the chair of the UNSC.

I have been surprised how little coverage has been given by the UK media to the "Collateral Damage" in the Donbass, given how very interested they are in such things elsewhere. They were also very uninterested in the event in Germany last week, where Yatsenyuk travelled to see Von Rumphouy be compared to Charlemagne.
I found the outrage expressed by the ordinary German citizens of the City heart warming and though the plackard showing the bears and the hyena inspired.

I missed the whole Charlemagne prize ceremony in my paper/radio broadcasts in The Netherlands. Strange :).

Whole mess in Eastern Ukraine is orchestrated from Kremlin, one has to be a very naive person to believe anything else. Funny how Russians are so worried about bombings while their giraffe neck buddy in Syria is bombing civilians in Syria desirability all the time and Lavrov the Liar is making excuses for him, and yet Russians are claiming to worry about civilians casualties.
