There is no reliable info per se, as the PLA does not disclose those stats. Treat US estimates as a minimum but consider Chinese wiki etc highly unreliable here. The six plus six (SSN/SSBN) had been carried over for a while in the US reports and is problematic insofar as older boats IMO remain in commission longer than expected (the last few boats of the 09-I type) while more 09-III are coming into the fleet. At the same time its not clear where the line is re operational boats vs produced hulls. The entire aspect of training and crewing these hulls is completely opaque beyond anecdotal reporting IMO. Suffice to say towards the 2030s we should see a notable revision unless PLAN retires early 09-III hulls long before they are reaching end of useful life.
That's an over-generalization and over-simplification of how wars are (to be) conducted, alongside the lack of understanding on how these so called "real deals" operate in the overall scheme of things. Where are the discussions on the overreaching range of platforms, logistics, doctrines and many other factors that should come with and enable these "real deals" to work like how they should be?
In the meantime, The National Interest should be avoided. That website is actually worse than The War Zone when it comes to military-related reporting.

I just noticed that there's now also a launching-barge sized mark on the bottom of the dry dock which has appeared since 30th April. Circumstantial, but the evidence of a new launch is starting to stack up.

In the meantime, Cute Orca on Weibo seems to be giving a nod(?), whereas Ayi has indicated that the 095 SSN could be (unveiled/spotted) soon.

At Sentinel resolution you cannot tell if it's 093B or 095 but it's definitely too short to be one of the two expected 094B's. My hunch is 093B as it's still too early for 095 and we'd certainly have heard a lot more buzz from both Chinese and Western sources if it was 095 #1.
Cute Orca has talked about the observing a slight hump on the 093B SSN right behind the sail which run for much of the length of the sub, likely to be housing VLS tubes in early February last year.
Recently, he posted a new model of what may be the 093B SSN, this time with 3x8 VLS tubes right behind the sail, with the envisioned slight hump that correlates with the discovery last February.
However, it should be noted that this particular model must not be taken as any kind of official indication/announcement/presentation on what actual 093B SSN would eventually look like, given that the origin and background of this particular model is still unclear.
Caution for posting the above information and photos below on social media is advised.
