very strange. why would they build a 075 when they can build the 076? is the cost of the type 076 that much higher than the type 075? or perhaps the type 075 is much faster built and inducted into service and the PLAN feels in a hurry to aquire more LHDs!

076 is much more complex and bigger (and expensive) than 075. I think they have different roles, anyway 8x 075 are originally planned and I believe still stand. The number of 076 could be 8x as well

Type 075 LHD is for rotary wing

Type 076 LHA is for fixed wing UCAVS + rotary

075 is a established design and 076 is getting its kinks worked out with sea trial and probably a few years of navy feedback before a redesign /modifications. Once they got feedback from the Navy you will see sausage making of 076.
