From this video:An elevator that fetches countermeasures from the magazine to the upper deck in eight seconds.
I'm sure that news reporter ears will be ringing for awhile when she was next to that CIWS test firing. From this video:
I think someone is going to get demoted for allowing an untrained/unprofessional standing so close to a CIWS during live firing exercise. Hope her ear didn't burst. From this video:
Not the first time either. Maybe they think it shows how powerful those weapons are.I think someone is going to get demoted for allowing an untrained/unprofessional standing so close to a CIWS during live firing exercise. Hope her ear didn't burst.
That's what I am wondering, too. Such a lack of professionalism and common sense about safety. That's why I think someone is going to get demoted for this incident. If the journalist's ear becomes damaged, someone could be discharged dishonorably.Wtf, no hearing protection? I mean we know it’s a systemic problem in the PLA, but at least give the reporter one.
Yes it's nuts that in 2023 on a billion dollar ship that not all the crew has ear protection. The guy standing still next to the reporter is probably deaf.Wtf, no hearing protection? I mean we know it’s a systemic problem in the PLA, but at least give the reporter one.
No, we watched the full video. That location is right behind the gun with a open door and I’m sure a lot of the sound transfers through the metallic hull as well, would be incredibly loud in such a confined space. The sound of the gun even blows out the cameras mic and you can hear the static. The above posters are quick to make hasty remarks without watching the full video. What you people have seen is a composition of 2 still footage of video, combined into an image to render as if the reporter was standing on the open deck next to the 1130.
The real footage is below. Girls will always acted that way when they hear a "bang!!!" even when stayed indoor. And she was unprepared, still talking when then guns began to fire. (And the cameraman hold the camera steady unshaken, so was the sailor).
