That shipyard is really busy
With 8 x LPD delivered which btw took 17 years these 3 x LHD are so much faster
No doubt HD can build fast
They launched a LPD within 6 month intervals in the end last few units
And I think they can do same again

It would make sense. Have a bit of overhang on the port side to balance out the weight of the island on the starboard side. Japans Hyuga and Izumo classes are similar. Probably a few other LHA classes i cant think of too.

As type 075's class designation indicate, it is a LHD (Landing ship Helicopter Dock), the primary role of it's air wind is to transport personnel and materials to shore. Two primary air wings would be (1) Z8 and Z20 transport helicopters and (2) Z10 attack helicopters.
Therefore the answer is simple, the main purpose is to use its air wing to send soldiers and light equipment to shore to support an amphibious assault operation, and to provide low level air support to the troops on shore.
Anti-sub helicopters may be stationed onboard, but their primary role is defence against submarine attack rather than hunting enemy submarine. To hunt a submarines your ship must have speed to chase after them, sub hunting may take hours or days, if you haven't sink the sub after 24 hours and you do not have the speed to chase after them, they will have escape beyond your helicopters' range.
So for a low speed LHD, their anti-sub helicopters are mainly for self defence, certainly not primary role of the main air wing.
Isn't LHD a USN designation ? It doesn't really make sense to use this classification when you don't know what the ship will finally be (or will even looks like). In fact this tread classifies the class as an LHD, a LHA and an LPH.
Maybe a better solution would be to see it's Chinese classification, if the chineses use one.

In Chinese it is called 两栖攻击舰 Amphibious Assault Ship. The term LHD is for the benefit of English readers as the ship's configuration and design is similar to US Navy LHD, it is an amphibious Landing warfare ship, with Helicopters as its main assets, and has a Dock for hovercraft/landing craft/assault boats/ amphibious tanks/IFV/APC.
Just as if I write Kongzhi, you would have no idea what I wrote unless you are Chinese, but if I change to English term Confucius, only then will English reader know who he was. "Confucius" is never used in China or Chinese, in fact many Chinese have no idea who Confucius is, they only know Kongzhi, or Kongfuzhi.
If I will to use Chinese terms for all class of war ships, you might not know what they are. Example what is a Keep Away Ship/ Shoo Away Ship/ Chase Away ship 驱逐舰？
