over 150,000 tons of warships, imagine that transiting the Suez Canal

A couple of these ARG are needed, in the current hostile environment.

Type 075 on the right, and blocks for a second Type 075 further left of the 071. My guess is that the production run for the Type 071 has ended, and the 075 has begun.

There are lot of covered facilities nearby. Are those places where they pre-assembly all the modules before moving them into the docks?

071 is quite inexpensive, costing less than a 054A. They should build at least four more, make it 12 in total. They will be needed, with the coming expansion of PLAN Marine Force and the likelihood of a Taiwan contingency.

I am sorry but what ? I am quite sure that China will be building more amphibious assault ships, but for a capital class ship like the 071 to cost less then a a 4000 tonish frigate is news to me.

Not quite, the 071 also has its own suit of radar for surface scanning and to guide the 4 CIWS it has. Not to mention a ECM to protect it's precious cargo, and someone in the PLAN design is gonna get the boot if the 071 is crazy enough to not be equipped with multiple bulkheads and watertight compartments to prevent a complete sinking in the event of a successful attack.
