RMB300 million price tag is too low, may be not taking into account electronics and weapons. In comparison our (Malaysia) new OPV all-in costs is nearly USD300 million each (include spares and training) which is more than RMB1,800 million.

My friend, my information is based on this video which reported that 022 costs around US$15 million and China is going to build 100 of them.

Well it's a Global Times reporting from Reuters, I mean, these guys are not the most reliable sources about PLAN, aren't they? :)

I know the person who took the first photo of 022 at Qiuxin back in 2004, the figures I heard back then was RMB 300 million a pop, this was due to all materials, including water jet and the aluminum alloy are imported from Australia. Over the years we have seen more and more domestic component, but I don't believe the price of a 022 has ever dropped below RMB 200 million.

US$300M for a Malaysian' OPV .. ohh goshh ? how much under table $$$ would be to your politicians and officers ?
