The 056 is general purpose. ABs and Takanamis are not a specific reason for their production. They will hold quite well against SEA navies. They will be an additional headache for Taiwan, due to their quantity. This is true even for the Japanese outlying southern islands. Yes, you can send out Takanamis out there but the wear and tear factor works against them. The latest USN incidents with two ABs clearly show wear and tear is not something to be shrugged off so easily.
