Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but why does the 2nd and the 4th look so different? The 2nd one has 7 forward window panels for the bridge but the 4th has only 5! the painted one behind the 4th also has 7 panels!
In that last picture, the Type 056 is the one in the background, not the foreground vessel.

The vessel is low to the water and is a wicked, stealthy OPV that will serve the PLAN very well. They are pumping these puppies out very fast.

What? there is no way that ship in the background is 053 FFG. I'm pretty sure they are both 056 except one has 7 panels the other has 5 paneled windows.
Oops...brain fart. My bad. I meant to say that the one in the background is the Type 056, and have corrected my oringal post. I believe it is the fourth Type 056 at HP.
The one in the foreground is not a Type 056.
Jeff is quite right, whatever the ship at the front may be, (and it looks to be little more than section) it is not a type 056. It is fact quite a lot smaller. I even doubt if it is a warship (that is not to say it is not military). If anything it looks to me like the front section of a heavy -ocean going tug.
