Lhasa=city of remarkable importance to the PLA, at least symbolizing China's sovereignty over Tibet
Yan'an=CCP HQ during WWII
Anshan=name of first destroyer in service with PLAN
Zunyi=site of CCP meeting that solidified Mao's leadership over the Red Army during the Long March
Xianyang=former imperial capital of the Qin Dynasty, China's first imperial dynasty
The only names missing on the list are Jiaxin (site of CCP's first conference, but the name has been taken by a frigate still in service), Ruijin (capital of the short-lived Chinese Soviet Republic before the Long March), and Gutian (site of a major Red Army conference after the Nanchang uprising)
