F-class means industrial frame type gas turbine. The largest do come in sizes up to 300 MW. GE F9 class is an example. But these are specifically designed from ground up for static installation, large mass flow, high power output, narrow operating range and high thermal efficiency. Being heavy industrial installations, they have maintenance and servicing requirements unsuited for shipboard use.
Marine gas turbines are mostly derived designs based aerospace turboprop or turbofan engines. These may come in sizes up to 80 MW. GE LM2500 and LM6000 are examples. They are most suited for applications where compact size, self-contained installation, service accessibility, and large operating range are more important than high power output and thermal efficiency. So they are better suited for shipboard use, and for use in remote locations on land.
