It's funny that you should say that, because I've just read today the thing is more about power generation. Chill out and blame SCMP. I never said anything about naval applications; in fact I explicitly said it is a stretch to even imply that.

The 300MW versions are for large factories or power plants to generate electricity. They are for commercial use, so efficiency and cost are the top priority. Yes the technology may be related to military but it is not a direct application. This should not be confused with the power source of future 055s. It is sort of misleading for SCMP to link the two.
