How much influence do you think Russia would have had on the way PLAN ships were designed and built. In the past I have read comments made by U.S.N serviceman that by their standards, the Russian boats lacked the same degree of fire and damage control.
Define "influence".
E.g.: certain Russian subsystems, especially those purchased along with the Sovs, have obviously found domestic spinoffs in some Chinese naval ships, from HHQ-16, to the domestic version of Mineral-ME radars, and Orekh illuminators. In that sense, there are obviously some meaningful Russian "influence" in ships like 054A.
Also, consider that the only "Russian" warships that China had ever imported wholesale since after the Sino-Soviet split, was the Sovremenny class.
From the 052 to 051B, which were the major classes built in the late Cold War to 1990s, there would not have been much Soviet/Russian ships that China would have had exposure to at all prior to the Sov class, and by the time the Chinese Navy did have their hands on the Sovs, we are able to see with hindsight the designs that they then went with and chose to iterate and mass produce on.
But I think your question is less about how much "influence" Russian ships may have had on Chinese naval shipbuilding, but more about what Chinese naval shipbuilding "standards" in areas like damage control etc, are like in the first place.
