I wonder if their primary focus was getting within a certain tonnage, and a future iteration will have more VLS.
Look like no exposed smokestacks. They weren't in the launch or other construction photos in positions as depicted in renderings.

I was quoting Jura, who said "sorry if inaccurate or anything". So I was saying yes, it is indeed inaccurate.
Maybe, but maybe they decided 112 would be enough for their purposes.
I wouldn't be surprised if an "055A" comes out after five years or so, I imagine our curiosities regarding many of the baseline 055 class will be answered based on what 055A looks like.
Very much the get to an initial capability first before arriving at the ideal approach we've become very familiar with. If 055A has greater tonnage though I'd expect a good portion of that gain will be armaments, and the tonnage increase itself would probably be driven by a more powerful power plant.
