Yeah, it's got a kinda retro shape with the flat bridge and tall tower behind it. I think it looks cool though.

What matters for combat power is the electronics and weapons on it, I don't doubt it will be good. Looking forward to seeing them launch. Surely it can't be that much longer to go? Maybe by Christmas?

Probably because it's a clean grey hull in a very busy background/shipyard.
A lot of other past launched ships have a similar appearance.

I wondered if it was doctored as well, but if we look at the detail of the ship, we can see a many of the red flags for the launch ceremony and lots of the details on the ship itself (porthole, CIWS, sensors, which look a bit too detailed to be doctored from this specific angle).

Also I'm not sure if we've ever had a picture of HDZH from this angle for it to be doctored for to begin with.


I imagine we will know soon enough if it's real, but I think we should remember that an image of a newly painted ship probably would look rather artificial and odd in this context.
