Another 054A was launched recently in Huangpu Shipyard, Guangzhou, several hours BEFORE the Hudong Shipyard launching ceremony.
So the Huangpu 054A was actually #34 of the 054A series, and the Hudong vessel #35.
There has been five new batch 054As launched by now. Of which 031, 033, 034 were launched by Huangpu Shipyard, and 032, 035 by Hudong.
Hudong Shipyard also launched all four Pakistan Navy 054APs, and delivered the first vessel (PNS-261 Tughril).

why? is it needed for Chinese Navy?, for Pakistan 054AP is the most advanced ship, for China is the 4th after 055, 052D and 052C
054A roles in Pakistan are totally different than in China
They don't. They have new fire control radars however for missile guidance, which the 054AP didn't get, probably reserved for future negotiation and ships.
The combination of new search radars + new fire control radars would have been very nice.
My theory as to why old search radar + new fire control radars is used is because the new search radar hasn't been fully tested or debugged as a combination with the new fire control radars.

I think the actual reasoning maybe that new search radars is not necessary due to 054A would be a minor part of a massive network, the air search heavy lifting is done by higher grade warship such as 052D/055; however the improving of fire control radar would be a actual improvement of firepower on 054A.
054AP has a very different role in Pakistan Navy, itself is the most important air defense warship, so the improvement of search radars is a must.

Maybe, but this would happen most possible along with the mid-term upgrading and after the 054As would have launched all the YJ-83 missiles on the rack.
Some of the Type 053H3 just upgraded their 8-cell HHQ-7 to a new 8-cell HHQ-10, because the HHQ-7 inventory was finally depleted.

Not necessarily when the ship also has other radars that are functionally the same as the typical PLAN Type 054A. Even if they may work on a different frequency and signature, the ship also has the same functional Type 366 (Mineral-M) radar, Type 364 (Seagull), Type 347 (gunnery). The EW are also the same as the latest ships or at least externally. The export ship also has a VHF array the PLAN version does not have, but is actually a modification of the same arrays used on the 052C/D to help detect stealthy targets. A different frequency signature does not mean a loss of capability or performance.
There is not enough data on the Type 382 and this new S-band radar other than they both achieve a detection of a fighter sized target (2m2 for the new radar) at 250km. I assume both radars have the same rate of rotation, which is around 30 rpm, but the older radar could be updating twice as it has two faces, and the other face has a different frequency band than the other, which Chinese sources claim being a C-band to the S-band.
