2014 is interesting for Type 054A

In 2010 we had two launches
2011 saw 4 launches
2012 we had 3 launches
And in 2013 we had a further 3 launches

So far first 5 months of this year no launches? I do expect some launches this year to finally finish the production line

Great a year after her launch she is still under refit and has not yet gone on sea trial. Will we see her being commissioned this year ? Man power in the Chinese shipyards have definitely gone elsewhere than the Type 054A's and the Type 052C's.

I've been trying to gather pictures of the Type 054s and Type 054As with their new style pennant numbers. Here's the good pics I have so far:

Gentlemen, in my never ending quest to complete basic PLAN orbat, I have been struggling with the distribution of older frigate classes (pre-054) between the flotillas. I stumbled upon a forum post containing some information on the matter (

That's Type 054, not 054A

Look at the CIWS on the aft end of the helo hanger. Those are AK-630s.
