Those 2 older 054's are supposed to be back in shipyards for refitting/refurbishment.

Any news with respect to this?

Have they finally removed the ancient/obsolete HQ-7's and replaced them with Vertical Launchers?

I don't believe they can be replaced with vertical launcher

Any chance the 2 Type 054s could be going to the Pakistan navy? There were rumours (just rumours) that PN was going to get 2 refurbished frigates after being upgraded, could these be the ones?

Would not be impossible considering how many Type 054As China has planned

bs from pakistan military fan until we get offficial news.
Even if china planned to build "24 054A" it not a reason enough to "give" the two 054 to PN.
PLAN needs are great and this is not the time to make donation

U missed the point completely or do u just usually jump to preconceived notions

PN would be buying the ships u obviously have no understanding of Sino -Pak friendship

If Plan needs are so great how come F22P, Z9C and fast attack ships sold to Pakistan

If Plan needs are so great how come F22P, Z9C and fast attack ships sold to Pakistan

They were not in PLAN fleet but newly built ships.
All i want to say is: if PN want to buy type 054 frigate, i don't think PLAN will sell those from his own fleet.

I think the PLAN has way too many Jianghus floating around to start sending off Jiangkai (054)....

Unless they ran out of new, well-trained crews for modern warfare, and sold off the 054 and transferred the crews onto a couple of 054As

They were not in PLAN fleet but newly built ships.
All i want to say is: if PN want to buy type 054 frigate, i don't think PLAN will sell those from his own fleet.

So what if they are in service, u don't know because if u had known that in 2002 Pak-Indo standoff China sent 40 F7MG fighter jets to Pakistan, they were refitted with Gifro radars and renamed F7PG and are still flying with PAF

why would you want used ships that are not as capable when you can get newly built ships? 525/526 are equipped with similar class of weapon as the later Jiangwei-II ships. It's not exactly cost effective to convert them.
