I don't think that's possible quite yet because So far we have had 5 launches in 28 months from JNCX

But they are getting faster and two shipyards are at it

This year alone they managed two launches next I predict 3 that's as follows

D6 in January 2015 it's almost ready we can tell
D7 is already structurally very far along so expect that in around summer 2015 say May/June
Then D8 in Nov/Dec 2015

Now if Dalian can launch it's First D unit in 2015 that would mean 4 launches next year

5+4 = 9 launches in total no way they can do 12 maybe in 2016

For commissions i would say 6th Type 052C and 2nd Type 052D for 2015

The second unit of 052D has just gone on its third sea trial:

We have a thread PLAN South Seas Fleet and Bases but different with many post for islands, interesting but that does not concern only the Fleet, then i think better create a new for talk only about ships, units, ports, bases belonging to PLAN South Sea Fleet to avoid confusion or maybe others names.

D1 from Dalian shipyard

Unbelievable D6 is on it's way to being launched

That means they managed 3 x D units in 2014 if they manage to get this in the water in the next few days

D5 was launched in August and D6 is December that's only 4 months !! Wow

Since Oct 2012 till Dec 2014 the JNCX shipyard has launched 4 x Type 052C and 6 x Type 052D DDG

That's 10 x DDG in 50 months or 1 x DDG every 5 months now for the majority of the time it's the work of just one hallway not both and by the looks of it that hallway is doing 1 x DDG in 4 months they have got faster or 3 x DDG per year

Just my thought on the recent production rates if Type 055 is going to take place in left hand hallway then both hallways will be doing some serious work

If Dalian starts on Type 055 along with the Type 052D we can start to see some serious heavy tonnage warships being produced approaching the production capability of Bath Iron Works and Ingalls shipbuilding who have between them have launched 62 x Arleigh Burkes over a span of 22 years or approx just under 3 per year albeit a larger and more sophisticated warship

Long way to go for JNCX and Dalian but it's looking like they are shaping up very well from the last 4 years of work

A nice high resolution photo of D2 on sea trials. Note the exhaust nozzles are now painted black, as opposed to silver on the D1. A new antenna/sensor dome had been added atop the hangar ceiling, just above the hangar door.
