Thanks for that report.
More confirmation that we are looking at a twelve unit Type 052D build.
That will be 18 strong A2A DDGs.

Throw in the 6 x Type 052C and you have some serious DDG numbers
I think his 18 ship count includes the six 052cs.

Yeah think I was getting bit ahead of myself there!
Also I think that the current and past PLAN structure will not stay the same I mean the flotillas and fleets
With all the new stuff their has to be a change in the structural and operational roles of the PLAN
This is good but now makes our guess work more difficult
Either way I am looking forward to D5 launch by years end and then two launches each year from JNCX
That means 2018 for 12 units if Dalian jumps in then maybe shave a few years off that but I have been hearing Dalian do that since end of 2012!
If Dalian takes DDG work off JNCX then JNCX can focus on the Type 055 CG units
Keeping HD and HP busy with FFG and coast guard work

Launch really does look imminent, only five months after launch of D4 as well!
Looks like JNCX at any rate should have no problem pumping out two 052Ds per year from here on out... Imagine if they could use the other shipbuilding hall as well, they could potentially double their output.
Now the big wait is for DL's 052Ds to make an appearance, and then of course, JNCX to show up with the first 055...

Who cares about new launches.How about a few commissionings. In the first 9 month of this year not a single Type 052C or Type 054A has been commissioned.
I'm the opposite I like to see launches and take time on commissioning that's the part you don't want to rush the training of the sailors and crew is very very important
No point in having a top tier DDG when you don't have the people to man them correctly
They have streamlined the production so can pump them out good and fast let them sit in the yard until navy is ready for commissioning no point in rushing the important part
In my opinion they are already going too fast with the production so shutting the second hall down was a good thing well kind of
