052D is getting an upgraded CIWS gun...

Looks like 1130 instead of 730. Frankly I don't know why they didn't do this sooner.what upgrade?
what upgrade?

He said "052D is getting an upgraded CIWS gun..." which could easily just mean that the class itself is being upgraded to 1130 standard. This has already happened to the 054A and as I said, should have happened to the 052D a while ago.The H/PJ-11 (type 1130) at the front rather than the H/PJ-12 (type 730)...
.... but, following on from my reply to hendrik, I think it's important to note that this isn't an "upgrade" as such but rather that this 052D was equipped with Type 1130 over 730 from the outset of when it was constructed.
the word "upgrade" could lead to confusion that this ship may be an early constructed 052D with its type 730 replaced by type 1130, when it is actually one of the later constructed 052Ds which was equipped with type 1130 from the outset.
obviously there are no suggestions that early 052Ds would have their type 730s replaced by 1130s, and such an idea probably wouldn't make much practical sense anyway
