Are these followups all of the same class? And does this "guy" mention any modifications to the VLS from the 052C (i.e.: common VLS like Mk 41)? Any indications on SAM's, or Land Attack Cruise Missiles?well, the guy that posts most of the pictures from Shanghai has started a thread saying that there are current 3 (yeah, 3) followups to 052C under construction at JiangNan shipyard and we will start seeing those later this year (as you know, it's harder to see that shipyard now that it has relocated). Apparently, it's 9000 tonne in displacement (which means they will announce it to be 7500 tonne) and there is a 64 cell VLS.
It will be interesting and exciting to see pics of that once they reach a point where they can be seen and identified.well, the guy that posts most of the pictures from Shanghai has started a thread saying that there are current 3 (yeah, 3) followups to 052C under construction at JiangNan shipyard and we will start seeing those later this year (as you know, it's harder to see that shipyard now that it has relocated). Three at once? 9000 ton displacement? That is a significant undertaking in and of itself.
You can compare them at the following site:Is all the best Chinese navy hardware can be found on a 052C? How does 052C compared to U.S destroyers such as Arleigh Burke destroyer? I want to get at least some sense of it..
