Pardon me for being rather blunt - But perhaps you have a very simplistic (or even bordering on naive) view on geopolitics.

If everyone is as agitated and as triggered as you on the question of sovereignty, then many of us here would be long dead by now - From being vaporized by a nuclear fireball - Or being melted by radiation/chemical poisoning - Or getting blown to pieces by a missile or a glide bomb - Or getting starved/sickened due to lack of edible food and clean water - Or getting stabbed/shot in an all-out civil disorder.

So please, take a sit somewhere, take a couple sips of water, take some deep breaths, and think back carefully on why China actually does what it did - back then and now.

I think the message of the meeting is pretty simple: Americans that bring money and investments are welcome. Americans that brings political agenda gets the middle finger. You are only invited because we want to world to see that we haven't completely given up on Sino-US relationship just yet. It shows the rest of the world that China values patience & isn't the unhinged lunatic which is the US government.

EU preparing $55 billion bailout for Kiev – Bloomberg​

The European Commission wants member states to cough up €50 billion ($55 billion) to bankroll the Ukrainian government, so it can pay wages and pensions, and commence reconstruction projects, sources cited by Bloomberg have said.

The terms of the proposed bailout are subject to change pending an official announcement on Tuesday, the outlet reported on Tuesday. The package will be financed by direct contributions from member states, as opposed to borrowing from the market.

The aid will be provided in the form of grants, concessional loans and guarantees rather than some “burdensome reconstruction instrument,” the outlet said, adding that the money would be provided between 2024 and 2027.

The Ukrainian budget has been receiving cash injections from Western sponsors to keep it running. Washington and its allies have pledged to help Kiev “for as long as it takes” to defeat Russia, including through the provision of non-military support.

US President Joe Biden has boasted about his vast foreign policy experience during a fundraiser for his 2024 re-election campaign, claiming that even veteran diplomat Henry Kissinger, who turned 100 in May, couldn’t surpass him.

“I’m going to say something outrageous. I think I know as much about American foreign policy as anybody living, including Dr. Kissinger,” Biden said during an event in Atherton, California on Monday.

“That’s what I’ve done my whole life, for the last 207 years,” he joked. The US leader, who is actually 80 years old, and has been a politician at the national level for 50 years. He also held the post of vice president in the Obama administration between 2009 and 2017 and was a US Senator for Delaware from 1973 until 2009.

I think he also said China should nationalize or kick out all foreign companies as trade war retaliation.

Some support China, some support the West, some only pretend to support China.

Having experienced dealing with so-called animal rights activists, I can tell you all of them express their hatred for children and/or human beings which also means they can be highly racist. They're just hiding behind animals to cover-up their sociopathic tendencies. If they can love a lower life form, they can't be that bad. Psychologically they know it themselves. Hitler was a big animal lover.
