The Chinese government needs to investigate, fine, and/or jail the Chinese official(s) for accepting bribery. Of course, China should fine Bankman-Fried/his company too, and a demand for his extradition for bribing Chinese government officials(even if China-USA doesn't have such agreement).

As this Bankman-Fried story is pretty big now, China can ride this news and help it megaphone its message against corruptions. It will let Chinese officials and foreigners know that corruptions against its country will get punished.

Yupe, it was only conspired but didn't take place or worked out by Sam and whatever Chinese officials. But China should investigate if there was any form of communication between Sam/his company with any Chinese officials that could be related to this conspiracy.

In any case, China needs to have something like USA's Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. It can reduce corruptions on Chinese officials and it can also be used geopolitically for China's benefits.

More on the RESTRICT act. Look at how broad it is. "Any measure" Worse, the government can arbitrarily add countries to the adversary list without asking the congress. And they don't have to explain anything. I was naive about this act. It looks more about control of the internet than anything related to China.
