Today as a first French company TotalEnergies SE just bought 650,000 tons of LNG from China National Offshore Oil Corporation on Shanghai Petroleum and Gas Exchange. Deal was denominated in RMB, LNG originates from UAE.

I think it is the other way around. CNOOC bought LNG from TotalEnergies paid in RMB.
