If China as a major market had invested and charged Russia as an alternative, the MS-21 would certainly already be mass-produced and there would be competition with the western monopoly.

But China continues to finance those who want to destroy and humiliate her, while India is being prepared to replace China as a customer and supplier of cheap goods to the West.

The way Russian Aviation industry is structured it only works for them especially upgraded supply chains. Foreign investment will not make any difference at this point. This thing could have worked in 90s.
Aviation is much small part of revenue stream if you consider overall exports per year of Airbus/Boeing from 80s. its the automobiles that countries like Germany made alot of money which they reinvest and get hold of European Integration process. buying brands from Czech to East and Spain to West.

It is useless to have certified Airbus and Boeing fleets if the West is going to block them all as it did with Russia and Iran once the hysteria of the American dictatorship focused on it.

The government and Western state media are already openly declaring that they will isolate and go to war with China in a short time. And meanwhile China continues to buy and finance planes that will be sanctioned and cannibalized as soon as the US wants it.

The West continues to divide and rule.

So I don't really see the moral panic. If anything, the west should probably have more moral panic over how much assets they have in China, if they really do want total war.

For China to buy Russian planes will just not happen, due to reasons stated above. Civilian companies in China will eventually be (or are already) tasked to make their own planes, but to certify them in hostile regimes as it is right now is unlikely.

In a few years or decades, perhaps China wins the cold war through economic means or perhaps US does a misguided special operation and gets squashed.

And then you'd have the newly made "neutrals" from the former American bloc be ready to line up for exclusive access to Chinese cars, Chinese airliners, and so on.

But for now, the aerospace industry is better served building for the military than moving into the airliner market.

The companies that make construction goods, electronics, phones, household appliances, machinery, are all Chinese. They're deeply inundated into all of the third world, including India.

West will replace Chinese materials with even cheaper Western materials? Made by who? German factories powered by Nordstream? Lmao.

What has America successfully offered India? Outdated drones at 10 billion $ (you pay them, not they pay you) a pop? Even when it comes to mass military hardware, India cannot help but to rely on Russia, because the west has a limited capacity to aid them.

But these places they want to prepare, they are backwards for a reason and that is the people, culture, and government there. Until the 1980's China also was a very poor and rural country, and the US make China a costumer market of western products. India is a new costumer market for western products made abroad and printed dollars.
