The sudden loosening of the COVID-19 restrictions and the swift reopening since early December 2022 has resulted in a truly high toll, especially for the elderly population.

Recall that for the last 3 years, China only had around 5200+ deaths. Now, in just barely more than one month, the death toll is more than 10 times that amount.

This is a real heart-breaking news, especially considering how many families in China that would be left with one empty seat on the table during Reunion Dinner this year.

I honestly feel so bad for France...yet admire their patience at the same time for the amount of crap they have to deal with their supposed allies.

Aukus gutted their submarine deal. F35s gutted their european aerospace market. Not to mention getting dogpiled on by US for the whole "freedom fries" saga. Now it's looking like Germany's the only one they can somewhat work hand in hand (ironically) with for FCAS these days.
