Everyone keeps crapping on Chinese propaganda/”soft power", but has anyone stopped and thought that maybe China is playing a masterful game of reverse psychology?

I mean what can be more harmful than making your adversary think Math is evil? In the long run, that's worse than physically bombing them, because it degrades their very civilization.
