China should do more , taiwan just had announced that they won't allow any Chinese tech in their government run offices /institute ,school etc.

They're just doing what America wants them to do. Let that island to starve and face high cost of purchasing goods from other countries. It would be better if china can throw bunch of drugs on the island opium has really crippled the strength of Chinese people of will to fight. There are other things china can do which can be helpful for future conflict china should use everything except war to cripple taiwan , destroy their will to fight or increase level of corruption by giving them million of free money to sabotage their own weapons.

A weak and hopeless Taiwanese are good & obident Taiwanese.
Your idea is terrible, China isn't going to get its future citizens hooked on drugs. Besides, Taiwan already has gangs for doing that. You make it sound like the Wanwanese have the will to fight.

No that's how USA and other countries had done to crush their rival & adversaries.

War should be the last choice for a country, before war all methods should be adapted to crush your adversaries .
It's always better to be cautious , just look at how USA sanction their rival even without starting any war to cripple their economy and how people of those nation overthrow their own government. USA has been master of implementing alot of "art of war " secrets.

A society hooked on drugs and alot of internal conflict and crimes would use resources to buy drugs, or even go as far as sell those weapons and even use those things to hurt their own people by looting stores. A rise of drug addiction leads to rise of alot of crimes, a religious conflict and rise of extreme left and extreme right wing politics also gives good results when it comes to increase in internal conflict,

Subdue your enemy before fight, also you should read art of war then you might not think of these methods are bunch of crazy ideas.

"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." -AOW

"Supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting." -AOW

Also you should not think like russian and jump on war and then end up in their situation.

"There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.
The greatest." - art of war
The problem with that assumption being that Taiwan is neither rival nor adversary of China. Taiwan, for all it's worth, is still considered to be an integral part of China, alongside the population on the island that are willing to be under Beijing's rule.

To China, Taiwan is like a child that has been forcefully seperated from his/her parent by outsiders when the parent is at his/her most vulnerable, and brought up by those outsiders to be disgusted and hating his/her own parent.

Let's say that you are the parent of this child. Assuming one day in the future, you successfully won back your child's custody from the outsiders after a two-decades-long lawsuit battle, pain and suffering. Would you like to see your child being:

1. Hateful and disgusted at you but otherwise largely fine; or
2. Hateful and disgusted at you while in similar state to those wandering mindlessly on Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia, just because you want to make your child come back to you on his/her own secretly drugging him/her throughout those years and make his/her life as sufferable as possible?

If you want to speak about rival and adversary of China, that would be the United States of America and her loyal servants. Those are the outsiders that snatched your child away from you when you are at your worst shape. Those are the ones who, until now, still holds your child's custody, and are actively edging your child to fight against you, so that both of you are bruised, bloodied and too weak to defend against them.

So if you want China to do like what you said against her rival and adversary, the US would be your main target.

However, why should China even bother doing anything of that sort to the US? The American society's self-inflicted narcotic (especially fentanyl) overdose epidemic is already doing its job without China even doing a d4mn thing. Furthermore, I would prefer that China keeps her hands clean for as long as possible.

It's all a question of where a country stands in terms of realpolitik and morality

The moral thing to do would be to not make taiwanese lives harder since they're all considered chinese, instead pursue win win cooperation and hope they repay mainland efforts.
The realpolitik thing to do would be to get taiwan hooked up on drugs, crime and destroy their economy so that they will be unable to resist mainland rule

An immoral political system like the US would choose the latter for sure. But for China it's not so clear cut
