Using local currency for trade is no doubt an eventual goal for both sides.Petroyuan won’t be announced. It is such a sensitive issue that has major geopolitical implications for the survival of the American empire. An already desperate and unhinged empire will lash out at Saudi Arabia. It will most likely be done gradually and quietly. There is literally no benefit to announce it and get a few headlines. Bilateral trade, investment and finance will use domestic currencies similar to what’s happening in Russia-China trade.
More frequent use of each other's currency is also highlighted in the agenda of the Chinese government.
