Tragic news, even though it happened in India. But if this had happened in China, many Indians would be trolling the Chinese. At least 60 people have died after a pedestrian bridge collapsed in India's western state of Gujarat.
Hundreds of people were plunged into River Macchu in Morbi town. Local footage shows survivors hanging off the partly-submerged suspension bridge.
Reports say as many as 400 people were on the structure at the time. Authorities said rescue efforts were continuing through the night.
How did the Indians repair an old colonial-era bridge and made it weaker? How far really has India progressed in developing into a 1st world Superpowa? They desire to overtake China soon, but they still can't get their bridges right. The incident comes just days after the bridge was reopened following repairs.
The 230-metre-long (754 feet) colonial-era crossing was built during British rule of India in the 19th Century.
As usual, more political mud-slinging in India after a disaster.Trinamool Congress leader Saket Gokhales said,” Deeply shocked to hear about the tragic loss of life in the bridge collapse at Morbi in Gujarat. The bridge was allegedly “renovated” 5 days ago. In a rush to declare things “done” before election code of conduct (before Gujarat polls) BJP and Modi have literally murdered people.”
Few days after renovation and it's down? Who the F is the contractor?

To be hornet, currently, the Chinese society is super-competitive, far more competitive than the U.S. society. For now, it's much harder to attain the same material affluence in China than in the U.S. For example, only 1st rate Chinese high school graduates have the opportunity to study in good colleges in China, while even 2nd rate Chinese high school graduates can handler good colleges in the U.S. In China, even a civil servant position will attract hundreds of applicants and generate cut-throat competition. I think such fierce social competition is one of the major reasons why some Chinese want to emigrate to the U.S.What makes them think that they can become rich Americans if they emigrate? If you don't know decent English and have competitive skillset the chance of you uplifting yourself is next to zero. I know a lot of people from China with PHDs who are struggling because they entered the wrong (chemistry) field and had to work their butts off to get a different degree (Comp-Sci mostly) in their 30s and 40s. These jokers think that they can illegally waltz in and Uncle Sam will shower them with free money?
U.K. cannot even guarantee food security for its people any more.

The latest survey of the nation’s food intake shows a 57% jump in the proportion of households cutting back on food or skipping meals over the first three months of this year, with one in seven adults (7.3 million) estimated to be food-insecure, up from 4.7 million in January.
How China is bypassing cargo chokepoints to speed up Africa trade
- New rail-sea hybrid transport options stretching from western China as far as Europe are speeding up goods movement to Africa
- New routes imply the belt and road plan is working, and are also in line with China’s aim of boosting exports from less-developed western region
The most disgusting thing is seeing Indian nationalists on Twitter try to defend this by blaming the people on the bridge. Talk about throwing out your own people just because you're offended about the optics. Idk, but if lightly shaking a bridge is enough to collapse it, maybe you should think about improving the quality?

Thanks to Uncle SamAerospace sounds cool if you are online dating. Other than that it has limited use outside of US and China. Most countries don't even have a robust aerospace industry (Canada for example...)
Maybe that's why Liz Truss resigned? Because she saw the extent of the mess that the UK is in, and the coming train wreck that Britain is gonna be in the near future. Perhaps its better to be remembered as the PM that served for 45 days, than the PM who presided over Britain's ruin.

Maybe an Indian Gujarati contractor.Few days after renovation and it's down? Who the F is the contractor?
Those Indian nationalists are inconsiderate morons as usual. They are also known as Bhakts. They can talk trash and support their beloved BJP all they like. They just haven't felt what its like to be on a collapsing bridge. The most disgusting thing is seeing Indian nationalists on Twitter try to defend this by blaming the people on the bridge.
