Tragic news, even though it happened in India. But if this had happened in China, many Indians would be trolling the Chinese.
How did the Indians repair an old colonial-era bridge and made it weaker? How far really has India progressed in developing into a 1st world Superpowa? They desire to overtake China soon, but they still can't get their bridges right.
As usual, more political mud-slinging in India after a disaster.

To be hornet, currently, the Chinese society is super-competitive, far more competitive than the U.S. society. For now, it's much harder to attain the same material affluence in China than in the U.S. For example, only 1st rate Chinese high school graduates have the opportunity to study in good colleges in China, while even 2nd rate Chinese high school graduates can handler good colleges in the U.S. In China, even a civil servant position will attract hundreds of applicants and generate cut-throat competition. I think such fierce social competition is one of the major reasons why some Chinese want to emigrate to the U.S.
U.K. cannot even guarantee food security for its people any more.
6.3 billion vs 1.2 billion: that's the reason why RCEP, BRI, AIIB, BRICS, and SCO etc are so important for China.
In light of the survey above, projects like the one below becomes more and more essential for the future development of China.

The most disgusting thing is seeing Indian nationalists on Twitter try to defend this by blaming the people on the bridge. Talk about throwing out your own people just because you're offended about the optics. Idk, but if lightly shaking a bridge is enough to collapse it, maybe you should think about improving the quality?

No, Liz Truss was ousted by the Central Bank aka the Bank of England. If anyone remembers, the BOE turned off the easy money tap with a wrench and told UK pension funds you gotta dump or your fucked. That lead to huge panic in the market and the £ but the taps were turned back on not that long after. Basically, it undermined Liz and they overthrew her in one fell swoop.
I think there was a globaltimes article within the last week that said the most popular or competitive jobs had +1000 applicant for that position.
Maybe an Indian Gujarati contractor.
Those Indian nationalists are inconsiderate morons as usual. They are also known as Bhakts. They can talk trash and support their beloved BJP all they like. They just haven't felt what its like to be on a collapsing bridge.
