What makes them think that they can become rich Americans if they emigrate? If you don't know decent English and have competitive skillset the chance of you uplifting yourself is next to zero. I know a lot of people from China with PHDs who are struggling because they entered the wrong (chemistry) field and had to work their butts off to get a different degree (Comp-Sci mostly) in their 30s and 40s. These jokers think that they can illegally waltz in and Uncle Sam will shower them with free money?

Still countless Mainland Chinese and HKers that are kindergarten-level naive.... thinking the US and UK are paved with gold and combined with democracy, it's a land of free milk and honey, hell, even farts smell better in the US and UK, because of "elections" and "democracy".

Many of these PhD guys and gals may be book "smart" in their particular field, but they're retarded in everything else. Let's hope some anti-Asian crimes can wake them up.

Guess what, aerospace doesn’t offer that many jobs either. For my Master’s Degree program we had a former Aerospace engineer who actually worked on AWACS (E-2 I think) and he quit to do CE because they paid peanuts.

For what, building a $50B money pit? It'd be insulting to think China would be that dumb. The Kazakhs and Russians and Chinese are all laughing at this deal right now.

It's practically free money for the Kazakhs that then gets trickled into the economy so Kazakhstan can build actual useful projects like BRI railways, road links and pipelines, paid for by the Europeans.

Hydrogen gas does have some industrial uses. It can be used to produce ammonia for fertilizer, some want to use it for steel production instead of coal, and it can be used to upgrade fuel so you can convert paraffin to diesel for example. But the thing is converting solar electricity into hydrogen is kinda bonkers. Electrolysis is like 50% efficient. So you are basically taking something which is quite valuable, electricity, and destroying half of it. When you want hydrogen for an industrial process it is way more cost effective to reform natural gas to get it.

They can be pretty comfortably middle class.

The US has a lot of land with few people. It is a relatively stable country with all the modern amenities. Living in a US suburb means an easier, less competitive life than in China, provided you have the cash to purchase a house.

I have no problem with people wanting to live where they want, based on what they believe in. China has too many people anyway.

Aerospace sounds cool if you are online dating. Other than that it has limited use outside of US and China. Most countries don't even have a robust aerospace industry (Canada for example...)
