It’s a two way street, if the USA does this, it will weaken then prestige more then it already has and will increase the anti American sentiment more then they already have already like with most of the Global south, like with Saudi Arabia where is they are still loyal to the USA, they wouldn’t have reduce the amount of crude before the American mid terms and get OPEC to agree with them and even get Turkiye to basically bat for Russia which to be honest is a really stupid move given that Turkiye is one of the most crucial NATO and to threaten then with regime change through Bolton pretty much ensured that Turkiye isn’t going to blindly follow the USA like before. Just because the EU leaders are basically the slave of the USA doesn’t mean the people are, especially when they start to freeze to death in the cold of winter and the USA more or less abandons them to there fate. The USA doesn’t have the luxury to fool around for ever since most of the global south are dumping dollars slowly but surely and if the US dollar is no longer the world reserve currency, it will really mess things up for the USA to the point of no return. Most people already knows the USA is the one at fault for nordstream and the mid terms is crucial to see what will happen to the world and I don’t believe it will be smooth sailing for Biden to be honest

EU ministers advised to take tougher line on China​

Paper by bloc’s foreign service calls for Beijing to be seen as an all-out competitor

The EU must toughen up its attitude towards China and see the country as an all-out competitor with limited areas of potential engagement, the bloc’s ministers have been advised ahead of talks on recalibrating Brussels’ strategy towards Beijing.

The EU should work more closely with the US, strengthen its cyber and hybrid threat defences, diversify its supply chains away from China and deepen ties with other Indo-Pacific powers, according to a paper prepared for member states by the bloc’s foreign service.

“China has become an even stronger global competitor for the EU, the US and other like-minded partners,” says the paper, seen by the Financial Times. “It is therefore essential to assess how best to respond to current and foreseeable challenges.” These, the paper says, are likely to “widen the divergence between China’s and our own political choices and positions”

The assessment “admits that China is not going to change”, said a senior EU official. “In short, moving to a logic of all-out competition, economically but also politically.”
