Had another 5Head idea. Kim wants to test his H-bomb, simply let him test it in the strait, ideally engulfing Pelosi's plane. America again checkmated and unable to retaliate against China. The North Koreans can say they simply wanted to show support for China with the move.

I hope Beijing can be somewhat satisfied its concerns are 'heard' and accomodated for (not saying I think it has, but I just hope), even if Pelosi does land in Taiwan on an unofficial basis. Let's continue on the path of peaceful resolution, for the good of all Chinese people...
Taking Taiwan off the official itenary was for the American public.

I don't think anyone in China will believe anything America says at this point. If they can lie about a telephone call they can lie about a military invasion. Nothing changes until Pelosi is back in America.

China cannot retaliate against every single country who sends its top level officials to visit Taiwan. If Pelosi landed in Taiwan, next time will be the PM of Japan, President of EU, head of NATO, VP of US ............. etc. etc. etc.

So China need to address the root cause of the issue, which is Taiwan. None of these people will come if Taiwan does not invite them. Taiwan must realize there are consequences that will cost them dearly.

One way is to reclaim one offshore island of Taiwan each time it happens. It is not quite reunification, and it leaves the burden on Taiwan and other country who send their VIP on how to respond.

The PRC left those islands to the ROC for a reason. If China retook those territories like Kinmen and the Penghu, thus the population in them who have more traditional ties with the mainland than the island of Taiwan, the PRC would only be forcing their own hand as it'd just make it that much easier for the 'Taiwanese' to declare independence.

I was watching Fareed Zakaria interview TSMC Chairman Mark Liu and they're talking about how invading Taiwan won't advance China's chip industry by taking their secrets. Who said that was the goal? China can take Taiwan out of the Western supply chain at the start of the war. That's more important.
