You diconnect capitalism from it's historical context.Capitalism born out of greed. It is set up like this, the whole system of science, politics, laws, economics and of course education and culture.
No I did not disconnect capitalism from any historical context or greed. Historically, capitalism was only possible on a large scale with currency and it evolved out of more ancient socialist societies. I had mentioned many times that greed is the driving power of capitalism and that's what makes it successful as a harvester of human energy to succeed.
Western style "democracy" is the most common reflection of capitalism in politics.
I separate the two. Democracy is putting the direction of the country in the hands of the uneducated masses and capitalism is putting the power in the hands of the wealthy elite. They are actually paradoxical in that sense.
Dictatorships is an other
Another what? Reflection of capitalism? Kim Jong Un disagrees.
The definition of Capitalism is "an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state."
What you are describing is more like the concept of market economy, which is defined as "an economic system in which production and prices are determined by unrestricted competition between privately owned businesses."
The two are not interchangeable.
Capitalism just means private owners (i.e. "Capitalists") control society's economy, which in practical terms, is a sliding scale. For example, Capitalists control a larger part of the economy in the US than in some European countries.
You got me on that. I didn't differentiate between market economy and capitalism. Yes, I mean China has taken aspects of the market economy when creating its own system. If capitalism is about putting political power in the hands of the rich so that it can be manipulated for profit, then it is not defensible, although it is still functionally superior to non-Chinese socialism.
Racism, due to the colonial history of Europeans, is one of the ways Capitalists in the West exercise their control of the economy.
Explain the relation. How is racism used to control the economy and how would that control be lost if there was no racism?
In other parts of the world, Japan for example, they might use other methods.
So basically, the dominant race of every country finds way to remain dominant.
While Market Economy can lead to innovation through competition, this is not necessarily the case with Capitalism. You could have an Oligarchy with a few billionaires controlling most of the trade and industries, which is what the US is heading towards. You're not going to see much innovation in such an environment.
That's creating special extreme cases for demonstration sake but in real life, the US is still easily a top innovator in the world.
Consequently, the definition of Socialism is "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole." The caveat here is what is meant by "community as a whole". In the case of China, that is the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.
That's not actually practiced in China. The proletariat of China are the poor workers from rural areas who live in meager conditions while building the skyscrapers that hallmark China's metropolises and working the assembly lines that drove China out of poverty. They are not in charge, do not hold political power much less any dictatorship, and often have little to their names. China is regulated by the elite of the CCP and only in this way did it find the success that diverges it from all other truly socialistic societies which have failed to make a mark on the world.
