Another one of your strawman attempts by questioning the existence of such an interview. (You must have a short memory as youve seem to have forgotten your Maying IP blunder)

Actually I merely asked a question after listening to parts of the interview with Shannon Lee which was a little bit confusing , as she was flitting back between describing her life in HK and the USA, you offered your opinion and I made no more of it.
How you can somehow derail the inniatial question by ranting on about Jews and Vietnam etc etc, has me completely beat.

Futhermore you must be awfully naive to think that of the hundreds of interviews she's given as a high profile celebrity about her father , Shannon Lee was never asked about how Bruce and the family in a mixed heritage setting.

I think this may be a portion of the interview the BBC had with Shannon Lee in which she briefly spoke of the prejudices her father experienced.

If you follow this link you will note the radio program as advertised back in July 2012

"0822
A new film that follows the life of Bruce Lee is being released in Britain this week. Executive Director of the documentary, his daughter Shannon Lee, explains why she agreed to make the documentary."

and thats all i m gonna say in the matter

Did I call you out on it when you first brought it up? I gave you a lot of room because I love seeing how the other side thinks. Just like China has a history of cheating sports as said evidence, you have a history of lying in here. Don't blame me because you chose to lie on something that can easily be researched. I gave you a chance then to show where you got your information to see if you could've made an honest mistake. You didn't take it because it can only mean you totally made it up. Just like how I'm waiting for evidence from your co-hort that I said I'm angry at people who don't admire the Chinese which meant I was racist. Same thing here. So easily can be confirmed or not yet some people choose to lie anyway in spite of it. I love how there are common tactics and short-sightedness from the anti-China crowd.

Oh BTW, your link doesn't work. How convenient!

Now that you've posted the correct link... It has no recorded interview to listen to and just a note she was interviewed. Is that suppose to be evidence supporting your case? Yeah and out of the hundreds of so said interviews she's given, you can't seem to post evidence of said revelation.

Race is a social construct and has nothing to do with genetics.

Racism does not cover only race, but also ethnicities. The United Nations convention makes no distinction between the terms racial discrimination and ethnic discrimination.

So your dictionary definition of race was not worth the effort. It's about ethnics and what is an ethnic group other than a culture?

@Assassin's mace: I'm sorry, but you are currently a don't feed the troll case. I don't know what went wrong in your life, but you have a serious racial prejudice revenge issue and might need a therapist. You increasingly lose touch with reality. None claims what you attribute them to claim.

Gosh darn... I bet you say that to all the people you can't win an argument with. You should take your own advice with all that nonsense you wrote. What did pronouncing "l"s and "r"s have to do with Bruce Lee again?

Still waiting for you to show me where I said I was angered at anyone that didn't admire the Chinese to which then you called me a racist. It's simple. Where did I say that? Post a quote of mine... Oh maybe you can't because it never happened? What does it say about you where you have to make up crap to argue?

Did Hitler create the Holocaust because he couldn't stand Jewish culture? Or because he believed that the Jews as a race had to be purged?

Was the South African apartheid based on culture, or skin color?

Did Segregation in the US happen because blacks had a different culture from whites... or because they had a different skin color?

Again, you are committing a fallacy of equivocation. While it is true that you can attribute a different culture to each ethnic group, even if sometimes the differences are minute, culture is *not* the basis of Racism. Racism is based on the belief of genetic superiority.

I think we can agree on that. Racism is about a believe in genetics that has no relation to real genetics. I see it correlated with culture and genteics is a way to create an unbridgeable divide because the concept of culture allows for communication and compromise solutions. Pushing the problem on a perceived genetic base makes it unsolveable with any means but one sided violence.

Hitler and the Holocaust as such is a popular myth you repeat. That guy didn't care whether the Jews were dead or alive, but he was quite happy with them being dead and felt in the end that he had at least achieved some good while his mind went off with stress and amphetamines. It probably also served as a self-betrayal to deny himself to have utterly failed to be the leader he dreamt to be.
The Nazi leadership had a strong suicide tradition in order to avoid any chance of having to vindicate their ideas and deeds to anyone in a superior and questioning position. The guys who allowed themselves to stand trial in Nuremberg could be counted responsible by Nazi standards.
It's my opinion that you can from the start see greed enarmoured with the ability to achieve control and success via technology as the binding drive of the Hitler-clique in the Nazi movement. The Nazis were no party, but a movement, originally with a very broad spectrum of ideas. Hitler was a very capable politician with good connections to German and foreign finance that allowed him to wage massively expensive campaigns with high-level spin doctoring. He was also a shrewd survivor who eliminated internal dissent in the infamous "night of the long knifes", until he was the sole untouchable Führer. One of the most important Nazi wings he was at odds with was under the leadership of the Strasser brothers, who didn't share many of Hitler's racial ideas, but were more welfare oriented. Few Germans know all aspects of the Nazi rise and doctrinal infighting. The elimination of Jews was at Wannsee seen as "a good and recommendable deed in a racially justified scientific universe with the benefit of extracting material resources from human bodies." The ironic part is how many of these Jews were patriotic to nationalistic Germans who often didn't even follow any Jewish faith. What a world.

Looks like a first. An internationally released Hollywood movie debuts bigger in China than in the US.

Haven't seen the movie yet buy the article apparently gets the facts wrong from what I've heard. In it it says China invented time travel which is wrong. The trailer says mobs do. I love reading the comments. Some people think portraying China as the number one power in the world in the future is propaganda. Don't a good portion of Americans already think that? The ironic thing is the version in China is different from everywhere else. Most of the Chinese elements are only seen in China. So what are they complaining about except they want to spread their own propaganda. I see this is going to get a lot of people upset over superficial status symbols. When a Hollywood movie is co-financed or filmed on location in and from another country, there are always stipulations that the foreign entity negotiates. Such as how many of their domestic actors and their cultural elements are in the movie. It's a part of the business. Now they have to factor box office which will be most influencial. The simplist solution is don't do business with China. But they don't suggest that because they still want to make the money. They just want Chinese to pay for it and get nothing out of it.

I saw Looper the other day. I thought it was a very good SCi Fi movie. However the China element was'nt a essential part of the storyline, other than a few more box office dollars.

How many of you guys here watch stuff on Hulu?

On Hulu I watched parts of the S.Korean TV series "Comrades" and "Road No.1" both take place during the Korean War. These series are no different from the from the Chinese WW2 period series in their patriotic content. Yet I have to painful search for online video of "Drawing Sword"(remake), Chinese Expeditionary Force and Yong Bu Mo Mie De Fan Hao. Plus they have no subtitles.

If Hulu can carry "The Beginning of the Great Revival"(which was an "OK" movie) and these Korean series with subtitles. Why can't the they carry Chinese WW2 series with subtitles?

Also the Chinese studios that produce these series need to add English Subtitles it would help me out(my mandarin is terrible) but would also help convey the Chinese narrative and perspective of WW2 to the rest of the world.

I don't have Hulu. But have you seen that movie called "My Way"? It's pretty good, I liked it for it's action and showing of history and those two characters went through.

I've seen the trailer and it's in my queue on my netflix instant streaming. But here's another example of limited availiblity of Chinese entertainment in the US. "My Way" and "Frontline" are availible for streaming on Netflix, but "Death and Glory in Changde", "The Message" and "Assembly" are not for streaming.
